Fees

Fees are determined by the business type, number of employees, and location. Once a completed Business License application is submitted, it will be reviewed to finalize the fee amount, which will then be requested.

Business License Applications

The most common business applications are: 

Special Approval & Permits (additional requirements)

Certain businesses require special approvals and permits in addition to the standard business license application. If your business falls into this category, please email cohbl@hemetca.gov for further information to help process your application. Examples of such businesses include, but are not limited to:

  • Ambulance
  • Bingo
  • Carnivals / circuses
  • Entertainment
  • Food vendors
  • Going out of business
  • Handbills
  • Ice Cream Truck
  • Massage
  • Peddlers
  • Special events
  • Taxis

Processing

  • Applications can be submitted by email at cohbl@hemetca.gov, by fax at (951) 765-2336, or in person at 445 E Florida Ave, Hemet, CA 92543, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.
  • Once approved a payment link will be provided to submit your payment.
  • A license number and the corresponding license will be sent to you by mail.

License Expiration & Renewal

  • License expire on December 31st of each year. 
  • Must be renewed annually to avoid penalties or closure of license.
