On 10-20-12 at about 9:09pm, Hemet Police Officers began responding to a report of a single vehicle traffic collision on Domenigoni Parkway just west of Searl Parkway. A 911 caller advised that there was a person in the roadway that wasn't moving.
Hemet Police, as well as, Hemet Fire, and AMR responded code 3 and arrived to find a male subject laying in the middle of the #1 westbound lane of Domenigoni Pkwy. The man had sustained major injuries. There was also a tan Lexus on the south embankment with major damage. No passengers or other injured parties were located.
The man was transported to Hemet Valley Hospital and Hemet PD's major accident investigation team was activated.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the Lexus rolled several times and possibly ejected the driver. Witnesses related that the man may have also been run over by a passing vehicle that did not stop, but continued west on Domenigoni Pkwy. Investigators are currently going over leads, evidence, and witnesses statements.
The victim later succumbed to his injuries at Hemet Valley Medical Center. The man's name is not being released at this time pending notifications.
