[ARCHIVED] Alarm Call Results in Arrest of Violent Burglary Suspect

Hemet Police Arrest Marc Morris

On 12-07-2012, at about 9:25 pm, Hemet Police Dispatch received a call of a possible burglary in progress in the 1400 block of N. Kirby Street. The reporting alarm company advised they had an alarm activation at the location. The alarm company related there was live video of the property. The system operator watched a male subject attempting to gain access into a building on the property following the initial alarm activation.

Hemet Police officers responded and began a search. During the search, a male subject matching the suspect description came running from the rear of the home and attempted to flee. Officers pursued and ultimately caught up to the man. The subject turned on the pursuing officers and attempted to fight is way out of being arrested. The man was placed under arrest and transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained during the altercation. No officers were injured.

Arrested and booked into County Jail:

Marc Morris, 44 Years from Hemet.
Charges: Burglary, Resisting Arrest with Violence, and Felony Warrant.
