Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
On 3-8-13, Officers from the Hemet Police Department responded the Hemet Valley Medical Center emergency room for a reported assault victim. Officers contacted an adult female victim who told them she had been assaulted and threatened with death by her boyfriend. The victim and suspect were in a vehicle outside of the suspect’s home when he began violently assaulting her, at some point driving the vehicle with the victim partially hanging out of it. The suspect then stopped and put the victim in the vehicle and drove out of the City of Hemet, repeatedly threatening to kill her. With severe injuries, the victim was able to get away from the suspect while he was putting gas in the car, and she drove to Hemet for medical attention. The victim received very serious injuries from this assault, and will likely require months of treatment and therapy.
Numerous attempts and methods were used to locate and arrest the suspect in this case, and he ultimately surrendered to Hemet Police detectives this afternoon.
Angel Isaiah Hernandez, 26 years old of Hemet was arrested and booked for attempted murder, mayhem and domestic violence. His bail was set at one million dollars.
