ROBBERY SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER PURSUIT
On March 19, 2013 at 7:00pm, Hemet Police Department Dispatch received a call of a suspicious vehicle (White GMC Suburban) inside the Hemet Park Estates (1400 E. Menlo Ave., Hemet.) As officers arrived, they saw the vehicle drive by them and officers recognized the driver to be Brendan Ellison. Hemet PD officers had received information two days prior that he was wanted for an armed robbery that occurred in San Jacinto.
Ellison was also wanted for a felony warrant out of Orange County. Hemet PD officers attempted to stop Ellison, but he failed to yield to the officers in an attempt to evade arrest. Hemet PD officers initiated a pursuit, which traveled for several miles. Ellison led officers in the pursuit through the City of Hemet, City of San Jacinto, and the unincorporated areas of Hemet. The pursuit ended at Meridian St. and Little Lake Rd., which is in the unincorporated area of Hemet.
Ellison was taken into custody with the assistance of gang task force officers and deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Ellison was later booked into the Southwest Detention Center for the following charges:
Brendan Ellison- 26 year old resident of Hemet
Felony Evading Officer, Orange County Felony Warrant, and Armed Robbery that occurred in San Jacinto.
