[ARCHIVED] Pair Arrested After Hemet PD Officer Locates Drug Lab in Vehicle

Hemet Police Drug Lab Arrests

On 5-9-2013 at about 5:43 am, Hemet Police Officer Doug Klinzing found two people sleeping in a car near a park located in the 5100 block of Shade Stone Drive. During the contact, Officer Klinzing learned the male had an arrest warrant for DUI and is a military deserter.

During a search of the vehicle, Officer Klinzing found a mobile drug lab inside the trunk. Haz-Mat & Lab-Teams were called and responded quickly. The Lab Team said the chemicals were extremely dangerous and it took Haz-Mat several hours to process the scene. No evacuations were needed, however, a large section of the neighborhood was closed off to through traffic. Hemet Police Volunteers responded to ensure no vehicle or pedestrian traffic entered the scene.

Rebecca Ybanez, 48 years old, of Hemet.
