Arrests made in Homicide Investigation
Hemet Police Department investigators have arrested two people in connection with the homicide occurring on July 27, 2013, in the 500 block of Montecito Ave. in Hemet. Acting Police Chief Rob Webb said, “We are very lucky to have such a dedicated, hard working group of detectives. They are a relentless bunch that made it clear they would not sleep until the suspects responsible in this case were arrested." "We would also like to thank the District Attorney's Office for their team work and guidance on this case."
Arrested for homicide (187 PC) and bail is currently set at one million dollars:
Damonica Lewis 18 yrs. of Hemet
Shakir Metoyer 19 yrs. of San Jacinto
