On 09-27-13, at about 12:23am, Hemet Police Officers Ian Baily, Brent Christianson, and Jared Flores were on foot in the area of Alessandro and Kimball doing extra patrol. They contacted a male in the area, later identified as Devaughn More, and the male fled on foot.
A foot pursuit ensued going west towards Gilbert Street. The suspect threw a loaded .22 caliber revolver during the foot pursuit. Responding units were able to locate and apprehend More in the 100 blk of S. Gilbert Street in a drainage canal.
More was found to be in possession of marijuana, several hundred dollars in cash, and a counterfeit $100 bill. The handgun was not reported stolen.
More recently moved to Hemet from the city from the City of Perris. More was charged with Possession of a Concealed Firearm, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Counterfeit Bills. More was arrested and transported to Riverside County Jail.
