[ARCHIVED] Suspect with Gun Steals Beer. Earns Trip to Jail.

Adam Rangel Hemet Police PD Arrest Felon with gun Beer Theft

On 10/26/2013 at approximately 8:58pm, Hemet Police Officers Benjamin and Willison responded to a business in the 100 block of E. Stetson Avenue regarding a theft.

An employee witness advised (2) 30 packs of beer were stolen. Another witness provided a suspect description and a suspect vehicle license plate.

Officers Benjamin and Willison responded to the registered owner's address and located the suspect vehicle. Officers then located the suspect. The suspect, Adam Rangel, was found with the same brand of beer that was stolen. Rangel admitted to stealing the beer.

Officers searched Rangel and located a .22 caliber revolver in his pocket.

Adam Rangel, 20-year old Hemet resident.

Burglary and Felon with a Firearm.
Rangel was booked at Hemet Jail and later transported to Riverside County Jail.
