[ARCHIVED] Hemet PD Arrest Two in Homicide Case

Tiaki Mosley Kelvin Red Murder Arrest Hemet Police PD Homicide

Arrests Made in Homicide Investigation

On 11-16-13 at about 9:15 PM the Hemet Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 2800 W. Fruitvale Ave. On arrival officers found a 77 year old man, had been shot while in his garage. The victim died shortly after as a result of the shooting, and Hemet Police detectives took over the investigation. There were no known witnesses to the shooting.

During the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify a possible suspect vehicle description and distributed this description to all law enforcement agencies in the San Jacinto Valley. Additionally, detectives learned that at least two similar types of robberies had occurred in San Jacinto in recent weeks, so contact was made and information shared with their detectives. On 11-19-13 a Riverside County Sheriff’s sergeant observed a vehicle possibly matching the suspect vehicle and stopped it in the City of San Jacinto. The driver and occupants of the vehicle were detained for questioning, and ultimately search warrants were obtained and served on the vehicle and other locations in San Jacinto and Hemet. After an intense and relentless investigation, interviews of possible witnesses and interrogations of possible suspects, Hemet Police detectives have arrested two people believed to be involved and responsible for the killing of Victor Prinque.

Police Chief David Brown said, “Hemet Police Investigators pursued this case with relentless commitment and made it clear they would not sleep until the suspects responsible for this senseless crime were identified and arrested." "We would also like to thank the Riverside County District Attorney's Office and the Riverside County Sheriff for all of their assistance with this case."

Arrested for homicide (187 PC) and bail is currently set at one million dollars:
Kelvin L. Red, Jr. 24 yrs. old of San Jacinto
Tiaki A. Mosley 19 yrs. old of San Jacinto

Anyone who feels they may have any information about this case is urged to call Corporal Josiah Douglas at (951) 765-2324.
