Two Arrested During Burglary

On July 12, 2014, at 5:10 am, the Hemet 911 Dispatch Center received a call of a burglar alarm at a commercial building located in the 400 block of N. Juanita. Officers responded to the scene and located an entry point in the exterior fence.

The officers set up a perimeter around the location and started to search the area. Two suspects were located inside the property. One of the suspects was located and detained by K-9 Jack hiding inside a vehicle that was parked on the property.

At the location, officers recovered a variety of tools used by the suspects to gain entry into the area. Both suspects were taken into custody and later transported to Riverside County / Southwest Jail.

Chief Dave Brown said, “This is another example of exceptional teamwork from our dispatchers and responding officers that resulted in the removal of two criminals from our community.”

Robert Allen Meskill
33 years old
Resident of Venice, CA

Conspiracy to Commit Burglary
$5,000 bail


John Michael Cadogan Jr.
38 years old Resident of Lake Elsinore, CA

Conspiracy to Commit Burglary
Obstruct Justice / Resist Arrest $5000.00 bail
