Sun City man arrested for multiple weapon charges.
On 11/02/2014 at about 11:42 am, Officers of the City of Hemet Police Department arrived at an apartment in the 100 block of N. Columbia St. to attempt to contact a battery suspect. Upon their arrival, the officers contacted a male subject who refused to open the door. The male then jumped out of a bedroom window and fled through an alley adjacent to the apartment complex. The subject was detained a short time later.
Further investigation revealed that the subject was manufacturing illegal guns inside the apartment. One complete firearm was seized as well as ammunition, and parts for several more guns.
Arrested:
Eric Jones, 34 year old Sun City resident.
Charges:
Felon in possession of a gun, felon in possession of ammunition, and manufacturing illegal guns.
Bail:
$30,000.00
