[ARCHIVED] EMERGENCY COOLING CENTER OPEN TODAY

EMERGENCY COOLING CENTER OPEN TODAY: Due to the extreme heat and potential for heat-related illness and injury, the Hemet Fire/EMS - Emergency Services Division, in close partnership with Valley-Wide Recreation and Parks District, have opened an emergency cooling center in central Hemet at:

James Simpson Senior Center
305 E Devonshire Ave, Hemet
Hours: Noon to 7:30pm Today
Open 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday

Please reach out to family, friends and loved ones who may be in danger of heat exposure and let them know this service is available. Stay indoors if possible and visit the following site for more information on surviving the extreme heat:

Please dial 9-1-1 immediately if you are exposed to extreme heat and experiencing dizziness, nausea, chills or other heat stroke symptoms.
