Update- Immediate Closure of Stetson Bridge—
The Stetson
Bridge, located between Cawston Avenue and Warren Road, is now closed.
The closure is being implemented due to the deteriorated condition of
the bridge and to ensure the safety of the motoring public.
While the historic bridge has been determined to have reached the end of
its service life, the City will be moving forward with construction of a
replacement bridge and is expecting to start construction this calendar
year.
Stetson Avenue will be closed
to all traffic between Cawston Avenue and Walden Weaver Road. Access to
Hemet-Ryan Airport will continue from Stetson and Walden Weaver Road. A
detour route is planned using Warren Road, Mustang Way and Cawston
Avenue to assist motorists around the closure. Signage will be used to
clearly delineate the detour route.
