How do I speak at a City Council meeting?: Prior to the start of the meeting, complete a speaker slip, which can be found at the city clerk's desk. If you are speaking on an agendized item, please note the item number. You will be called when that item is discussed. If you are speaking on an item that is not on the agenda, you will be called to speak under "Communications from the Public." You will have three minutes to address the council. State law prohibits the City Council from taking action on any item not on the agenda.
