In an effort to protect public health and prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the City of Hemet encourages the public to view City Council and Planning Commission meetings online instead of attending in person. Members of the Public who wish to comment on matters before the Council or Commission, in lieu of attending in person, may submit comments on or before 2:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. Meetings are live streamed and can be viewed on the cameras below during the meeting. Archived videos of City Council Meetings and Planning Commission meetings can be viewed on the City of Hemet Youtube channel. Hemet Council Chamber cameras are disabled when meetings are not in session.

Submitting public Comments

ELECTRONIC COMMENTS:

Anyone who wishes to submit an online public comment on a particular item must do so on or before 2:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. Submitted public comments will be read aloud in the meeting by the City Clerk. Comments received after 2:00 p.m. will not be read aloud. The same limits apply for e-comments, as listed in the meeting agenda. All public comments shall comply with the adopted Rules of Decorum found in Resolution No. 4545.

TELECONFERENCE LINE:

Public Comments may also be provided by using the established public teleconference line during Communications from the Public. Please use the teleconference number listed on the respective agenda. Please mute your phone during the meeting to prevent noise interruptions. The official conducting the meeting will ask for public comment from teleconference participants. At that time, those wishing to comment will be asked to state their first and last name and the item number/topic. Public Comments are temporarily limited to 2 minutes.
