The City of Hemet’s HOPE UNIT can also provide assistance with the following matters:

  • Access for retail businesses to participate in the Organized Retail Theft (ORT) quarterly meetings, featuring crime prevention tips, educational seminars, and a collaborative network for information sharing and stronger security strategies.
  • Assistance with post-crime notifications from the Police Department and/or Code Enforcement.
  • Connections and referrals to local resources, including homeless prevention services, drug and alcohol treatment programs, detox clinics, domestic violence support, youth programs, veteran services, shelters, and faith-based organizations.
  • Help with filing or updating a No Trespass Letter of Authority (602 Letter).
  • Preventive business support through checklists, posters, resource cards, and other helpful visual materials.
  • Property and land assessments with recommendations to improve safety and security.
  • Volunteer opportunities and community connections.
